This year as well as being a full-time teacher, I have been working on developing the Aspire Award Scheme along with the Aspire Trust. The scheme aims to recognise and value all aspects of school life by valuing aspiration and achievement.

Key accomplishments:
- Creating the promotional video
- Writing and developed the web-based software using the Laravel framework
- Designed and built the website using a bespoke WordPress theme
- Provided training across different organisations
- Promoted the scheme and the software at regional Headteachers conferences
Over the summer, I completely re-wrote the extra-curricular and intervention tracking software I have created to include the Aspire Award at its heart. The software will allow students to take control of their own achievements by taking part in, and logging themselves at activities inside school, extra-curricular activities and community events.
We are currently rolling out the system with a pilot group of students from four schools, both primary and secondary. Watch this space!
I am currently looking to secure funding to allow time to develop and promote the scheme itself and continue to develop the software and the website.
